Extreme Reach provides multiple solutions for uploading creative assets to your account. Whether you choose to upload spots via the Media Uploader Application or through the web-based platform, all files must meet the specifications in this document before they can be accepted.
To help ensure that your files are seen and heard exactly as you intend them to be, please review and follow the detailed specifications below. Verifying the playout of your final digitized files locally prior to uploading to Extreme Reach is imperative.

Conformance
Clock (Slate): 7 seconds
Black: 3 seconds
Spot: 10/15/30/60 seconds etc.
- No post-roll such as black, hold, or freeze is required.
- For non-UK deliveries and Republic of Ireland, slates are optional.
All Clock / Slates must include the following information:
- Advertiser
- Clock Number
- Title
- Duration

Slates are system generated from metadata and analysis of the source media. This ensures that all information required by UK DPP Spec is included. Original slates are not passed through.
Video Levels
Levels must be in accordance with ITU BT.601 for SD content, ITU BT.709 for HD content, and in accordance with EBUR103 recommendations.
Audio
The program loudness level must be normalized to -23 LUFS (+/- 0.5 LU) and -1 dBTP max.
- UK Specifications require the first 6 frames and the last 6 frames of the spot to be mute. Please be advised content will need an audio mix that meets this specification.
- Multi-channel audio is accepted please reach out to Extreme Reach support for further information.
Audio Dialogue
Best practice for a globally acceptable audio mix regarding dialogue is to start and end dialogue 12 frames on ‘into and out of content’.
If someone is talking during the very beginning or tail of the spot it may get cut off. In this instance, a new audio mix will be required from the post house.
Closed Captioning/Subtitling
World System Teletext (or WST ) is the standard for encoding and displaying Teletext information, which is used as the standard for Teletext throughout Europe today. It was adopted into the international standard ITU-R BT.653. For HD OP-47 is accepted, and for SD OP-42 is accepted.
